Paradise Lost and Regained by Ratnadip Acharya

This book was sent by the author Ratnadip for a review, his debut book would be “Life is always aimless, unless you love it” and this is his second book.

First Impression: I was not really convinced with the cover design and especially the title, which was used by Milton before. But, as the book reveals a strong point on why this was done – it justifies as such.

Overall Impression: More than the story, I thoroughly enjoyed the choice of words used throughout the book. Best choice of words and inspiring vocabulary, that rings a bell in every readers mind. Every word had impressive stamp in the story, and the same takes the whole book to a greater level than it was supposed to be.

The book doesn’t carry must twists, it is not about anything out of the world, it is not racy, and it is not – what not?

The book is an impeccable thought, it reveals the life and thought process of a deer, and I wonder how this idea struck the author. The book convinces a readers, that this is how a deer would think and this is what is happening in every deer’s life. The book changes your perspective of life as such, there are much room to understand life as such.

Ratings: 3.5/5; special mention to the vocabulary

Wow Factor: 1) Thought process 2) Vocabulary 3) The minute details covered

Frown Factor: 1) It is a slow story – which might impact the readers who love to read page-turners; yet this is a good read according to me. 2) Length of the book – I felt a crispier version would have been a lot better than this version
